Let Us Help Re-Insulate Your Home with Blow-in R60 Insulation

In some cases, wildlife may enter through the attic and live there, leaving a hefty mess to clean up after. Leaving droppings, tearing up wiring and ruining insulation are some of the things they’ve been known for. SOS Wildlife Control Incorporated provide your home with safe and efficient blow-in fiberglass insulation in the attic. We help take care of the mess caused by wildlife intrusions in your attic.

SOS Wildlife Control Incorporated uses blow-in fiberglass insulation to insulate your home. Using a blow-in machine, the fiberglass is blown in through a hose and is an effective attic insulation solution year-round. Fiberglas insulation will not settle, it will keep its energy-saving R-value over time, helping maintain your energy costs. It is a quick and easy process but service time will vary depending on the size of your home. Ask our professionals to provide you with more information and answer your questions.

OUR INSULATION INSTALLION PROCESS

FULL INSPECTION OF THE INSIDE OF YOUR ATTIC

During this process we will fully inspect your attic to check for animal droppings, mold and etc.  Once a year the attic should be checked for wet spots and signs of degradation.

If your home is older than 10 years this is also the time to have your attic inspected.  After the video assessments with you we will determine if your attic needs any insulation replacement.

REMOVAL OF ALL OLD INSULATION IN ATTIC

Sos Wildlife Control, we believe in quality work. We will remove and clean out all of the old insulation before adding new ones. Please be very aware of this cleaning process. There are companies out there that will just add more insulation instead of fully replacing it.

We will start vacuuming your attic and removing all the old insulation and garbage in the attic. All the garbage will be properly bagged and stored in a bin for proper disposal.

FULL INSPECTION OF THE INSIDE OF YOUR ATTIC

Once the attic is completely cleaned we will provide you with a video showing you the work that was completed to ensure that you are happy with the results.

We use accurate laser measuring tools to ensure that every part of your attic is properly filled.

INSTALLING NEW R60 INSULATION

After cleaning we will fill your attic with new R60 blow-in insulation. We use R60, this helps insulate against the extreme cold weather we get in Toronto.

If you are living or moving into a home that is 10 years or older you may want to have your attic inspected to ensure you have proper clean Insulation.

Some Reasons Why You Might Want To Have Your Attic Inspected To Decide If You Need Attic Insulation Replacement.

Attic insulation can basically last forever but it does lose its energy efficiency due to deregulation. It is advised to have your attic inspected if your home is older than 10+ years to ensure it is keeping your home properly insulated. If you would like to have your attic inspected, please give us a call at 647-994-9453.

Older homes tend to have R30 – R40 insulation which is good for most conditions, but because we experience the frigid -30 C winter and +30 C summers in southern Ontario we recommend having at least R60 to keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer while saving on energy.

On average the EPA (The Environmental Protection Agency) suggests that properly insulating your home can save you up to 15% on heating and cooling costs in Canada. Since we live in Ontario our climate fluctuates so much that homeowners tend to save about 18% – 20% on those costs.

Raccoon feces can cause a condition commonly known as roundworm. If a person is infected, it often causes a ring-shaped rash that is itchy and scaly. Roundworm is rarely infectious to humans but highly infectious to pets.

Bat droppings are very dangerous for humans. If inhaled it can cause a serious respiratory disease called histoplasmosis. If it infects beyond the lungs, it can be fatal.

Rodent urine, saliva, and feces, can contain bacteria called Hantavirus. It can be easily released in the air in confined spaces when disturbed by rodents roaming around in your home.

Wet insulation will reduce the quality of the insulation, and because insulation is hard to dry off, this normally starts to cause mold in your home.

If your home temperature keeps fluctuating, if you’ve had animals in your attic, or if your home is older than 10 years, we suggest you have one of our technicians inspect your attic to ensure you have proper insulation.
